Fall programs for the young at heart

Fall is the perfect time to start working to get ready for the snow, so you’ll be ready and fit to make the most of the winter. Our fall offerings are for members of all abilities.

  • Intervals with Pete

    Wednesdays from 9-11am

    Sept. 17-Nov. 19

This 10-week dryland interval training group meets on Wednesday mornings from 9-11 AM at various locations near Winthrop and Mazama.

A typical session begins with a warm-up which incorporates some mobility, general movement skills, and dryland ski technique before embarking on moderate to high intensity intervals ski-walking and/or ski bounding (imitating cross-country skiing without the skis).  Early in the season we may do about 25-30 minutes of 'work time' during our intervals and then we'll build up to higher volumes as the fall progresses.

  • Marymoor Park Dryland Training

    Oct. 4-5

This fall, Methow Valley Nordic is offering training sessions on the west side of the Cascades for adult or young adult skiers looking to jumpstart their winter season. Whether you're new to ski training or looking to sharpen your technique, there are a variety of options to fit your goals and schedule. Pick 1 option or several.
